I pray that, like the early followers of your Son, I, too, can spend forty days interacting with the risen Christ. I pray also, like Jesus when He came out of the wilderness, I can come forth from forty days in the power of your Spirit.
Like the people of Nineveh, I pray during forty days that you will make me to have a new way of thinking. I pray that, like Moses after spending forty days on Mt. Sinai, you will also give me a new, clear direction for my life.
Heavenly Father, I pray simply for you to change me, mold me, and make me into what you would want me to be. Let these forty days be a life-changing experience for me. Through your Word and your Spirit, this I pray.
