Heavenly Father,

Make me wise to the ways of religion. Keep my focus upon you when the struggles of life come that I may face them in the power of your grace.

Help me to see that my own attempt to do good always quenches your goodness in me.

Help me to understand that all you desire is that I know that you, not me, are the source of my life.
