In the most
spiritual of the gospels, John stated that he wrote his gospel ". . .
that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that
believing ye might have life through his name" (20:31).
Amazingly, John's gospel was written that believers might simply
experience life. From the very beginning until the end, this gospel
records the essence and power of Jesus Christ, the Life!
The gospel of John contains the most
precise statement ever written of what it means to be a believer:
"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that
ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain . .
." (15:16). With "fruit" meaning the Life of God
manifested in the believer, this statement contains the secret and mystery
of life. Jesus Christ is the Life that does not have
"peaks" and "valleys." It is perpetual. It
remains.
The gospel contained in this series of tapes will
bring the hearer to a new found awareness of Jesus Christ as the
heart-beat and breath of life itself.
