Ezekiel Bible Studies
The End of the Age and Its Restoration
Session 7

The question of how evil gets into a world that has been decreed by God as being good is as old as antiquity. Religious thinkers for centuries have attempted to solve this timeless and seemingly insoluble problem. Since God is perfectly good and that which He has created is perfectly good, why does He allow evil and suffering to occur among those He presumably loves. How can the omniscient, omnipotent, and holy God tolerate evil?

The Inception of Evil into a Good World

Reference to the Prince of Tyrus or to a Cherub of the throne of God
It does not make any difference.  Ezekiel stated, "Thus saith the Lord God . .. never shall thou be any more."

The seat of perfection — full of wisdom and perfect in beauty

In Eden, the Garden of God
Every precious stone was thy covering
Anointed Cherub that covereth
Upon the holy mountain of God
Walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire

Perfect in thy ways . . . till iniquity was found in thee

By the multitude of thy trading
Thine heart was lifted up
Corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy splendor
Defiled thy sanctuaries by the iniquity of thy trading
