Since the
acceptance, affection, and approval one experiences within the
"wheel" are uncertain, unpredictable, and undependable because
of the introduction of sin within the "wheel," there must be a
"Higher Power" invoked to ensure the proper development of the
"spokes." To develop a secure and adequate view of oneself, he
must understand himself in the light of being in Christ.
As Paul wrote to the Colossians, "For it pleased the Father that in
him [Christ] should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the
blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I
say, whether they be in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were
sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath
he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy
[Affection] and unblameable [Acceptance] and unreproveable [Approval] in
his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not
moved away from the hope of the gospel . . ." (1:19-23).
