Ezekiel Bible Studies
The End of the Age and Its Restoration

Session 11
|
The way of life is simple: sunlight, sunset,
midnight, and sunrise. Just as there are midnights in the cycle of the day
and night, there are midnights in the cycle of life. As Job stated,
"Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his
days also like the days of an hireling [one who works for wages]? As a
servant [a worker] earnestly desireth the shadow, and as an hireling
looketh for the reward of his work: So am I made to possess months
of vanity, and wearisome nights are appointed to me. When I lie
down, I say, When shall I arise, and the night be gone? and I am full of
tossings to and fro unto the dawning of the day" (Job 7:1-4). The way
of life is simple and there is an answer for the midnights.
Experiencing life is simple: living in harmony with the ways of life.
Midnights will come. You can either live through them in peace and rest.
Or, you can live through them in tossing and turning. Life can either be
heavenly or hellish.
The good life depends solely not on the midnights but rather how you are
responding to the ways of life as you go through the midnights. The human
dilemma decrees that there will always be sunlight, sunset, midnight, and
sunrise. The seed will always fall to the ground and die. The good life
perishes only when it is attempted to be experienced in the seed that
falls to the ground and not in the essence of life within the seed.
