There is essentially two things that the
individual who is seeking help in the time of need must experience if
healing is to occur. The needy person must receive mercy (not
receiving what you deserve) and grace (receiving what you do not
deserve). The basic assumption of biblical counseling is that mercy
and grace are freely given to those who respond to the gospel of Jesus
Christ.
It is not by oversight that the strategy of Biblical counseling is not
listed in a specific methodology. The power of healing is not in a
magic formula, a secret strategy, or a religious method. The
miraculous healing power expressed in Biblical counseling lies in the source
of Christianity Himself, Jesus Christ.
You can escape the hells of your life. You can experience the healing
power of His life. The treasure within you, the Holy Spirit, can come
forth and manifest Jesus Christ in your life.
All that God desires is the simple recognition that you cannot produce life
yourself. All that He ask is that you come to know that He is the
creator of heaven, earth, and all things therein. All that God urges
you to do is to come to the understanding that He is the essence, the
breath, of your life.
When you come to the end of yourself, the end of your perception that you
can rule your life, a simply cry, "Jesus save me" enables the
miracle and the mystery of His healing to occur. His life dwells
within you and will come forth out of you in resurrection power:
"When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear
with him in glory." Healing can be yours!
